GRANTS CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY

NYFIC members and their organizations are not eligible to receive an NYFIC grant. Specifically, a person is not eligible to serve as a project lead if, currently or within the six months prior to the application deadline, they:

  • are listed on the NYFIC website as part of the Team, or

  • serve as a board member, president, or hold any other leadership role in any of the six NYFIC member organizations.

An organization is not eligible to receive an NYFIC grant if:

  • it is an NYFIC member organization, or

  • it has a board member or president who is not eligible to serve as a project lead, or

  • it is more than five (5) percent owned by any person who is not eligible to serve as a project lead.

RPI employees, board members, and their organizations are also not eligible to receive an NYFIC grant. No grants may be awarded to any entity in which a member of RPI’s Board of Directors or other governing body, any officer or employee of RPI, or an immediate family member of such individuals has any ownership, control, or financial interest. For purposes of this paragraph:

  • “ownership” means direct or indirect ownership of more than five (5) percent of assets, stock, bonds, or other dividend- or interest-bearing securities; and

  • “control” means serving as a member of the board of directors or other governing body, or as an officer.
